From USA Today Bestselling author, MJ Fields, comes a gripping story of love and it's many truths.
Ava Links was raised seeing the different sides of love.
The beautiful and the broken.
Through it all, she knows the journey she is taking will lead her to the man she is destined to be with. The man she has always loved, Luke Lane.
But as we know, there are no guarantees in this world, no promises that can not be broken, and no way you will know what tomorrow brings.
After finishing 27 Truths I can say that truth I have learned about love here is that it is beautiful and all consuming while it last, but it will gut and decapitate you in a second. Ava knowledge of love from the start is all what she makes it. Not seeing the what she calls love as the infatuation of a life long crush, and the consequent emotional attachment while age allowed them to take this to a physical relationship. I do believe that there is feeling far beneath, but this was not a healthy relationship in the slightest. When Thomas takes the reins, and makes Ava is "goddess" it turns the pages and shows this young woman that there is so much more to love than she has known. I was impressed by this story and consumed by the story line from the start. The chemistry in characters was captivating, and I found the plot line intriguing. Unfortunately, I must admit to finding moments of overly sensitive and bordering on corny. Then we dove into the climax that quite literally had me in tears. Not many stories can pull actual tears from me, but this love story was just so natural and true that it was heart wrenching. The all encompassing heartache that I am feeling is why I love to read, and the magic that brings us to be readers in the first place. While one book can raise you up, and inspire you so much that you are ready to hang the moon and create your own universe. 27 Truths is an example of the quite the opposite, and a story that will tear you apart so completely that you feel as though you actually lost the love of your own life. I am off to see what will happen in 27 Lies, and see if Fields has the ability to mend this battered and beaten heart this particular book left me with.
