To gain just a little insight to who Cheryl Ann Smith really is we asked what her to give us the top five reason why she loves being an author. Here is what she had to say:
Top 5 reasons you love being an authorThere are so many to choose from! The top five would have to be:1-Interacting with readers. Romance fans are the best. They are so passionate about books and the genre. It’s humbling to have someone come up to or email me and tell me how much they enjoyed my book. And are looking forward to the next one!2-I love making stuff up. As my everyday life is wonderfully ordinary, I get to hang out with people I’d never get to meet in my everyday life: a U.S. Marshal, a process server, criminals. It’s fun to ride along on the adventures of the hero and heroine and watch two people fall in love!3-It took a long time (and a lot of unsold manuscripts) to finally get ‘the call’. I almost gave up my dream many times over those 17 years. To finally be a published author and able to get my stories out is amazing. I’ll be forever grateful to my husband for his support.4-I’m a fairly lazy writer and work in creative bursts of 2-4 hours at a time. Being my own boss lets me work at 4 a.m. or 8 p.m. or noon if I want to. Some authors can write for 8 hours straight. My brain would seize up! So not having a set schedule is great.5-It’s fun to see book covers with my name on them!Thank you for having me!
