Book Whisperer's Rating:
Ten years
of dedication to the Navy taught SEAL Jon Rudnick one thing—he’s not afraid to
risk life and limb for his country. But when navigating military red tape
begins to present more challenges than the enemy it makes Jon question his
future. So does Alison Cressly, the woman he can’t get out of his head.
When Ali’s
life is threatened and military rules won’t allow him to intervene, Jon decides
it’s time to take back control.
I was quite surprised the
amount of action that was in this short story: he action between Jon and Ali,
the action between the Navy SEAL team, and the action that Ali and Darci find
themselves in at the end of the book.
During a 4th of
July party, Darci pushes Ali and Jon together, even though Jon is leaving the
following week for deployment. At the
end of the night, both decide that spending a night together is what they both
need. Afterwards, Jon leaves but when he
comes back six months later and attends the New Years Party, he finds that he
still have feelings for Ali.
They both are great for each
other. Ali brings a level of humor into
Jon’s life while Jon just brings sexiness into Ali’s life (not saying that Ali
isn’t pretty, it is just that Jon is a Navy SEAL.)
