BookWhisperer Rating:

Taryn grew up in a different world. Her boyfriend was a criminal. His older brother was part of a gang. They weren’t great people, but they were her family. Then everything changes when she’s adopted by a family in the neighboring town. New family. New friends. A new world. She’s elated. This is her chance for a new beginning, but secrets start being revealed and Taryn learns her new life has ties to her old one, ties that she’s not happy about. Her new family might not have been the lucky break she thought she had. Now she's not only fighting to live that new future, but she's fighting to survive as well.
This was darn near PERFECTION!!! Everything about A Whole New Crowd demands your attention. The amazing characters with an crazy story line surrounded by the incredibly dark and mysterious atmosphere was captivating from the start. Tijan grabs your attention with her style and creative writing ability. She is definitely awe worthy. Taryn is a great character with a very complex personality. She is mostly a loner, but she loves deep and is loyal almost to a fault. Following her through this story is a pleasure, and will wreak havoc on readers determined to see her discover a bit of happiness in her tragically dismal life. Jase and Tray were dark and mysterious for the story duration. Kudos to Tijan for the ability to leave me in the dark til the very end. I am a guesser, always trying to piece together the remainder of the story, this was almost impossible with this story. More importantly, the guesses that I did make fell flat. I can proudly say that Tijan was able to reach my shock factor, and it was wonderfully entertaining.Everything about this story is action and danger with the coat tales of romance. It is the perfect story for me, and it will be one that I will not likely soon forget.
