Title: Finding Us

Series: True Love #2

BookWhisperer Rating:

Jag Jensen and Ellen Love had been best friends their whole lives until he turned thirteen and started noticing girls his own age, but that didn’t mean he stopped watching out for eleven-year-old Ellen. By his senior year in high school, baseball had taken the front seat in his life, with a scholarship to college and a pro career looming on the horizon, when sophomore Ellen caught his attention and they struck up their friendship again. Although Ellen wanted more, Jag didn’t want to drag her into what he knew would be a crazy life, but love has a way of deciding one’s future, and eventually they became a couple. Ellen followed him to California as he began his pro career, but his wild and hectic lifestyle screwed everything up.

Now Jag is lost, realizing he’s never been without his best friend in his life. Learning to live without Ellen doesn’t settle well with him, so while trying to remain at the top of his career, he also wants to get his girl back, which proves to be more difficult than he thought it’d be. Will Ellen give him another chance or does that sort of thing only happen in the sappy romance novels she always used to read? Jag hopes she’s willing to try again as he puts his heart on the line for the woman he knows will always be his forever and a day.

Harper Bentley does it again! Finding Us was pretty much everything that I had expected after the thrilling ride of Discovering Us. Jag and Chloe lives pick up right from the shocking conclusion of book one. Bentley can create a story so intense that it will twist you up so incredibly tight. You will feel like a top about to be released. Unlike with book one I was a little put off by Chloe's consistent up and down. I know the stress, and the natural ability to doubt but she constantly believing everything she is reading and seeing. I am incredibly frustrated with her character come the end of this book. I spent half of the book knowing what was going to happen, and just waiting for the other shoe to drop. My frustration does not change my love for this book. This was just the incredible thrilling ride of the first book, but I am honestly ready for this last book that will conclude the story. I feel that after this the story has ran it's course. If there were to be even more you run the risk of it no longer being realistic. One couple can only endure so much, and I think after this they will honestly have hit their limit. That being said I am beside myself in anticipation for reading the conclusion. I am ready to see Miss Alyssandra get what is coming to her. Honestly, I hope it comes with a black eye to mark the occasion that Chloe finally takes a stand and mark her territory. The additional characters to Finding Us have made the story. I love Baxter and his wife, and a look to see a side story of Logan's womanizing ways. So much to look forward too, and with an author as creative as this you can bet your bottom dollar that it will be AMAZING!!!!
