Part one of a two part series.
There are three things Lily Evans immediately notices about her new neighbor, Jay Lincoln. The first is his monstrous size, the second is the malicious way he glares at her, and thirdly, but most importantly, the three scars that mark his right eye. She knows the smart thing to do is stay away, but she has never met or seen anyone like him. The more time she spends with this frightening yet captivating man, the harder it becomes. He can make her hairs stand on end but he also has a sweetness to him that tugs at her heart. Soon she finds herself merged into his world full of murder, revenge, and deceit.

our thoughtsOne of those AMAZING books that you just happen across. No BIG to do with reviews posting right and left. Just a book that you come across, and can’t put down after starting. Jay and Lily have two very different backgrounds, but yet so many common traits. This is the perfect romance of completion when they are put together. I loved this story, from the first word to the mountainous cliff hanger. Jay is all dark and broody with Alpha sex appeal. Lily’s character transforms throughout the story, but we are left with a independent and courageous woman that readers will be rooting for. Fate played in Jay life with the use of a Christmas dinner, and it was a whirlwind thrill ride from page one. The mystery and suspense lasts the majority of the story with the secrecy of a Jay’s life. When we finally uncover his past my heart pours out for his character. No one deserves such a terribly soul crushing life. This story left me so twisted, and then I discover that the next story is no where in sight. WTF????? How long will I have to wait, but I promise you one day one year if book two is anything like this we are in for one hell of a ride. The Missing Link is a dark and dangerous story looking at the more unsavory parts of life, but the story created in this pages is worth every minute. One of the best books I have read this year!
