Review: Josh & Hannah by Lynda Chance

josh and hannah Title: Josh & Hannah

By: Lynda Chance

Series: Redwood Falls #1

My Copy: Ebook from Author

BookWhisperer Rating:

three books

Josh Turner wants Hannah more than life itself. She's perfect and new . . . but she's a McIntyre. She's from the richest family in the county, and he's a Turner, from the wrong side of the proverbial tracks. And to make matters worse, there's no love lost between their families.

our thoughts Ok, this was a tough one. Josh & Hannah was a very complex story of longing love. After years of being neighbors destiny throws the two together opening their eyes to new horizons. Hannah has always been the little neighbor girl until the night Josh is determined to help her save face. This one little situation ends in a budding relationship that will hurdle obstacle after obstacle to their happily ever after. Now the reason that I felt this was hard review is due to the complex nature of this relationship. The alpha tendencies of Josh’s character left me confused and border line defensive. The red flags that seemed to be soaring with his “Mine” determination pushed this book out of its hot and steamy classification into something a little bit darker. I loved the storyline and found the story deeply entertaining, but I felt that the author was a little over the top with aspects of the characters. This story reminds me a lot of Elizabeth Reyes first novel in the Moreno Brothers series. I am hoping that I will find the same transition of future novels that promise a excellent series to follow. Age bring the intensity of this novels to new levels, and I think that the alpha tendencies would be a little better received from older characters.
