Review: Abel (5th Street #4) by Elizabeth Reyes

Title: Abel
By: Elizabeth Reyes
Series: 5th Street #4
My Copy: Ebook from Author
Book Whisperer's Rating:

Coming off the worst divorce in the history of marriages, Nellie Gamboa’s looking to let loose and make up for years of neglect. When months of building sexual tension between her and the young hot boxing stud, Abel Ayala, finally peak, she makes him an offer no man would refuse.

No promises. No demands. Just pure unrestrained passion.

Abel’s training for the biggest fight of his career. He has no time for a social life, much less a relationship. So this arrangement couldn't be more perfect. A beautiful woman asking him to help her alleviate her neglected desires—no strings attached. What more can he ask for?

As the lines between lust and something much deeper, begin to blur, Abel finds himself in an even bigger fight.

The fight to regain control of his now demanding heart.

I love these 5th Street boys!   I couldn’t imagine my world without them so please Elizabeth Reyes, never take them away from me!

Now that I am done begging I’ll let you know that this book was fantastic.  The first half of the book is building a relationship between Abel and Nellie and setting some major drama that is about to happen.  Yes, I said Nellie who is Roni’s friend from the first 5th Street book (I loved that Reyes brought Nellie back in the gang for good!)  You get to see Abel, who is pretty much a bad ass, show his tender side with Nellie because saying how he feels isn’t always the easiest.  And you get to see Nellie soaking in these tender moments and silently wishing for more, even though she is telling Abel that she wants a relationship with no strings attached.

The second half is filled with drama and was my favorite part of the book.  And in this second half, I found that it was beautiful what Abel brought to this relationship.  Nellie had suffered so much going through her divorce and Abel was able to rebuild her confidence and show Nellie that real love, true love is absolutely an option.  And while he shows it through his actions, he finally says it and it was that moment of “GLORIOUSNESS!”  This is what I have been waiting for!
