His Secrets Can Destroy Her

From the moment Josie laid eyes on sexy, mysterious Shane Dean, she was in love. Their desire ignited a passionate affair, and within weeks, Shane had slipped a ring on her finger. It seemed her every fantasy was coming true . . . until her new husband disappeared without a trace. Now, two years and one broken heart later, Josie is shocked by the hospital calls: Shane has been found . . . at a crime scene with no memory of how he got there.

Her Love Can Save Him

Shane can't remember the blue-eyed angel at his bedside—or who he even is—but he knows something isn't right. His hearing is razor sharp, his physical strength incredible, and the urge to protect Josie overwhelming. For powerful enemies are hunting him, and Josie is the key to discovering why. As Shane struggles to unravel his past, dangerous new truths come to light. Can he protect the only woman he's ever loved? And can Josie trust a man she thought she knew—one who carries such a deadly secret?

I started this book thinking it was going to be just exactly like the synopsis, but I was wrong. In some ways, it is the same but in all these other small ways, it is not.  This is what drew me into the plot.  It is the surprise of an unknown plot that always makes me happy (if it is a good surprise.)  Shane is just not some ordinary man and Shane and Josie’s marriage is anything but normal.

Forgotten Sins kept me guessing; I could never tell who was the bad guy or who was the good guy.  I always rooted for Shane to be good because Josie fell in love with him and how could a reader not want a good love story.  However, there were moments of doubt throughout the read that made me say “oh no!” because Shane’s good guy line blurred a little.

The first chapter starts out with Josie going to the hospital to see if the guy the police brought in is actually Shane, her husband that left her without a word two years ago. She takes him home in hopes that he would be able to tell her why he left her but he can’t remember his past and to make matters worse, someone is after them.  Of course, Shane is the alpha male that will not let any harm come to Josie, even if he doesn’t remember her, but he wonders if he can keep her save from who is chasing after them and himself.

It’s a thriller/love story is a great read that I loved getting addicted to.  When’s the second book coming out?
