Review: Fire Inside by Kristen Ashley

Title: Fire Inside
By: Kristen Ashley
Series Chaos #2

Book Whisperer Rating

Lanie Heron isn’t looking for love—no surprise, considering her last serious relationship nearly got her killed. So when Lanie propositions Hop Kincaid, all she wants is one wild night with the hot-as-hell biker who patrols with the Chaos Motorcycle Club...

For Hop, Lanie has always been untouchable. She’s too polished and too classy for his tastes. But when she gives Hop the once-over with her bedroom eyes and offers him a night in paradise, he can’t say no. And he doesn’t regret it when he finds that Lanie is the best thing that’s ever happened to him—in or out of bed. Now the trick will be to convince her of that.

You wanna know how my day gets better?  Reading Kristen Ashley, that is how.  I tore through Fire Inside in less than 24 hours (and it only took this long because my body made me sleep.)  I could not put it down and when I had to, it was all I could think about.  When am I going to get back to this? What is going to happen?

KA brought it like she always does.  I fell in love with Hop and Lanie.  Everything about them gave me happiness.  Their first get together was so sexy and it just continued to get even hotter and hotter as time when on (especially when they fought.)  The monsters that they both battled throughout the book showed you who these characters really were, how they fought for what they believed in, and how they continue to fight.

Hop is just as hot as Tack and Shy with his biker persona.  How he cared so much about fixing Lanie melted my heart.  He was right by her side, urging her to sort out her problems because he fell for her so hard.

Lanie is a complete mess at first, just barely hanging on until she starts to spend some time with Hop and realizes that maybe she can trust someone with her heart again.  But what I loved is that it is just not Hop who gets her heart (he gets most of it) but it is the whole Chaos crew.  Throughout the book she gets to hear little snippets on what High, Tack, and other feel about her.  How they have accepted her into their family.  Yep, it causes this warm fuzzy feeling when you read those lines.

The side story of Benito is getting serious and I hope that KA continues to play that up and when it reaches its peak, our hot biker men can shut it down (and look sexy while doing it.)

I cannot wait until the third installment.  Hopefully it won’t be too long.

I think we have the same reading list right now. I'm reading KA's 'Burg series and on the last one now. Also, just read Tangled and LOVED it. Drew's got the funniest take on life and I loved his talk with the audience. When is this new Chaos novel out? I have to go see....
