Hanna Boudreaux has lived in the small town of Willow, Colorado all her life. The great-granddaughter of the town matriarch, she's sweet, cute and quiet.

Too quiet.

Hanna has a moment of epiphany when she realizes her crush for forever, Raiden Ulysses Miller, is not ever going to be hers. She sees her life as narrow and decides to do something about it.

Raiden Miller is the town of Willow's local hero. An ex-marine with the medal to prove his hero status, he comes home, shrouded in mystery. It takes a while but, eventually, Hanna catches his eye.

But after all these years of Raid and Hanna living in the same town, the question is, why? Is Raid interested in Hanna because she's sweet and cute? Or does Raid have something else going on?

our thoughts

Kristen Ashley is a cure-all for me. After reading a book that sends me into a depression (because that book is bad), KA is like a Valium I popped and life is all better. The men that she brings to life are undeniably sexy. I don’t know how she does it but she sure does it.

I loved that Hanna sits in a coffee shop, waiting for Raid to walk in every day so that he can hopefully notice her. And when reality smacks her in the face and makes her wake up, she starts living a adventurous life which helps Raid start noticing her (unbeknownst to Hanna.) When that moment happens and Raid sets his mind on her, they become so cute that you just want to punch them in the face because you can’t handle the cuteness. Like always, there is some shadiness lurking around and Raid is there to find them, capture them, and make them pay. *girly giggle.*

What really surprised me was that Raid is a little different than most KA alpha male heroes. When he loses control, he loses control and I was surprised to see that loss of control turned on Hanna. However, he pulled all the strings to make up for his outburst.

Like all KA characters, Raid and Hanna complimented each other well and it was such a pleasure to read their story.
