He’s undercover. She’s in over her head. Yoga instructor Kylie Roberts is the good twin. At least she was—until an accident forces Kylie to step into her twin’s sexy stilettos at a posh Hollywood “men’s club." But nothing could've prepared Kylie for the dead body in the club’s parking lot or the ridiculously hot detective who insists the killer is targeting her regulars. Detective Trevor McCade needs Kylie’s help to draw out the killer. It means long nights undercover and long dances where Kylie’s body tempts him with sensual promises. Dances that leave them both wanting more. But despite Kylie's hidden identity and the danger lurking in the shadows, it’s only a matter of time before Kylie and Trevor take this undercover operation under the covers…
Samanthe Beck just continues to make me happy with her handsome characters, smoldering plot lines, and amazing writing. I cannot believe this is only her second book; she is a terrific writer.
This book held many moments that were filled with these lustful, intense scenes between Kylie and Trevor and I found myself loving every lap dance she gave him. It was super hot. Their tension between each other was perfectly written and solo moments made me forget that there was even a killer out on the loose.
Trevor did it for me. There was just something about his character that made him stand out from most of all the other books I read (and all the main male characters I fall in love with.) He was a good guy, a detective, however he had this bad boy side to him that pushed him farther into doing naughty things with Kylie in the private room. Have I mentioned to you that the private room scenes are super hot? But he was also so sweet to Kylie after she finds the dead body that it is impossible for him not to win your heart over.
So to sum it up, Lover Undercover is amazing if you are looking for a quick, dirty read. And the epilogue left me smiling like a goof ball.
