When Nick Ashford lost his friend, Mason, he didn’t realize he was going to lose his family as well, but that’s exactly what happened. Alone and in a foreign country, Nick is working on rebuilding his life one patient at a time, that is, until a striking volunteer makes her presence known.
Can Nick finish his year in Africa without risking his heart being broken again, or is he willing to start a new chapter in his life before his return to Beaumont?

our thoughts As proven in Forever My Girl, Laughlin is quite a talented author. After tying up Liam and Josie’s story it was interesting to see her continue this story with Nick. When a story of such intense emotion tears the readers apart with characters choices; I was quite happy to see her carry on by showing Nick’s happily ever after. It was intriguing to follow him through as he recovers from the betrayal and heart break to unfold into a loving and tender romance. While I must say that this story did not carry me a strenuously as Forever My Girl; it was still a very powerful and enjoyable read. Props to Laughlin, and I look forward to seeing more of her talented stories in the future.
