For over a century, two families have fought, shot, kidnapped, hung, burned, stolen from and accused one another. Danny Bennett knows that most of what keeps her family feuding with the Cahill clan is baseless accusations from both parties, but that doesn’t keep her from taking sides. After all, when her fun-loving brother, Derek – the person she idolizes the most – has been accused of murder, her loyalties lay solidly with him. But her loyalty to her chosen future burns just as strong. In a desperate quest to fund her college education, Danny applies for a dangerous job and soon lands herself in the bowels of the enemy camp. Accustomed to living on the edge, Danny welcomes a good challenge...until she realizes she has unwittingly fallen prey to her brother’s accuser.
Driven by hatred, Austin Cahill knows exactly what to do with the Bennett girl who saunters onto his jobsite under false pretenses: use her as a weapon against her brother, the man he holds responsible for his fiancĂ©’s fatal drowning. Derek Bennett must pay for his crimes, but Austin must coax a confession out of him first. His plan to “own” Derek’s beloved baby sister should break the man, but he soon discovers a much bigger obstacle...his burgeoning desire for Danny. When Derek comes for her, will Austin be prepared to let her go in exchange for the truth? Will his quest for vengeance destroy the woman he’s grown to care for? Or will it be the truth...that brings them all down?

our thoughts finl Truth and Humility is a deep and somber story that will unknowingly grab your attention. This is not a story pack full of intensity or lust, but rather a building story of two were unique characters that just happen to be from a opposing side of a family feud. Danny and Austin have known about one another for years. While Danny seemed to have a bit of the upper hand, since she is well aware of Austin’s gender. When she confronts her father about her dream of attending college he makes it abundantly clear that this is not an option. With no where to turn, and a desperate need for funding she turns to her sworn enemy. Thinking that she can slide quietly under the radar and work on a Cahill job; imagine her surprise when Austin Cahill just happens to be her boss. Not only her boss, but when aware now that Danny is not another boy from the Bennett family he is determined to use her to force her brother to face him. Only what we find her is intoxicating love story. Austin and Danny’s relationship is not instantaneous, nor is it easy. Against all of their might they will find themselves faced with a new direction, and all of the past anger and pain will be standing in their way. This was a great story. It’s character are deeply built, and they are very likable. Even with all of the under handing, and aggression it only seems to add to this story.
