Marie doesn’t need a complication like Horse. The massive, tattooed, badass biker who shows up at her brother’s house one afternoon doesn’t agree. He wants Marie on his bike and in his bed. Now.
But Marie just left her abusive jerk of an ex-husband and she’s not looking for a new man. Especially one like Horse—she doesn’t know his real name or where he lives, she’s ninety percent certain he’s a criminal and that the “business” he talks with her brother isn’t website design. She needs him out of her life, which would be a snap if he’d just stop giving her mind-blowing orgasms.
Horse is part of the Reapers Motorcycle Club, and when he wants something, he takes it. What he wants is Marie, but she’s not interested in becoming “property of”.
Then her brother steals from the club. Marie can save him by giving Horse what he wants—at home, in public, on his bike… If she’s a very, very good girl, she’ll get lots more of those orgasms only he can offer, and he’ll let her brother live.
Maybe.

our thoughts finl
I was chomping at the bit for this book! After reading the book description it was a MUST HAVE! So, for any book after such an intense wait there is only one question. Was it worth it? HELL YES!!!
Reaper's Property is best described with these independent words: biker gang, alpha male, chemistry, no non sense, dangerous, determined,  all consuming, and HHHHOOOOTTTTT! This was an incredible read, but truth be told there is just something that sells me about a man that is determined to conquer. Even more importantly the reason for his determination to conquer is all due to him discovering that person in the world that he wants to cherish. Tell me that is not the sexiest thing in the WORLD! (Breathe in, Breath out SLOWLY) Horse is a very direct and intimidating character. It is fine line with this character, and readers will not find him easily predictable. Marie comes into the story after leaving her abusive ex-husband. Her brother welcomes her with open arms with the promise of protection and safety. Her abundant gratitude has her blinded; even accepting his dangerous and questionable lifestyle when she finds his ties to the Reaper Motorcycle Club. Hence, Horse. This is where you queue the mysterious music, and in struts fine specimen of man. Everything about this book is taboo. Shouldn't be so hot, but it absolutely is!!! This is an awesome debut for this series, and I am instant fan. If you are a readers looking for something powerful, dark, and a captivating story this is the book for you. No pink sparkles and fairy wings, but rather the dark and twisted with something safe and comforting at the end. I can't wait for more.... I have to say that my favorite quotes in this book would have to be the several times Horse says, "I'm Gonna F*** You Now." and "Marie Caroline Jensen, will you do me the honor of being my permanent B****?". Horse is not your average man, and what you see is what you get. These two comments are great. One, shows the humor in his dry character. While two shows his inability to bullshit. Straight and to the point, exactly what he wants, and exactly what he is going to get.
Now for a little fun…. After reading such a good book I just can not help, but put faces to the characters in my head. So here it is! Saving the best for last here is my the closest I could find to the wonderful characters in this book.

My soul was drawn to him. It isn’t about the danger or his dark beauty, it’s the connection I feel – the feeling of home I have with him even though I am miles away from it.
Megan, Mobster’s Vendetta
The mob underworld never changes. It hides itself deep in the cities. The rules, people, and danger are identical no matter where you go. Sometimes I wish things were different, but they're not.
Antonio, Mobster’s Vendetta
Antonio and Megan have had to overcome severe challenges in the short time they have been together. Things just happen that way sometimes. Circumstance has kept them apart, but their biggest challenge is yet to come.
Power, greed, and malice can crush a person from the inside out.
Antonio and Megan are in Chicago. Antonio needs to take care of business.
Business that includes taking down his Uncle - for good.

our thoughts finl Oh No... Don't be over already!! All of the Mobster series were incredibly short stories, but this one just seemed to speed past so much quicker. I love Antonio and Megan they have addictive chemistry and their stories are guaranteed to be action packed. I have been awaiting this third installment for months, and I can't not believe it was over that quick. Even more importantly it is the last of the series. I was so excited to see Megan taking a more active role in Antonio's world through this book. She seems to embrace the lifestyle that she never knew she had, and conquers all of her fears. I LOVED IT! There is nothing better to say. Rest assured that Amy Rachiele is not letting us down although this storyline may be done, but the journey if far from over. After the obvious building of attachment for Vito and Erin over the past two books; I just discovered that Rachiele's next book will be their story. I can not wait for that book. So here is to the months in waiting while I will be ever so patiently waiting.

Review: The Arrangement 3 by H.M. Ward

Sexy love couple

Title: The Arrangement 3

By: H.M. Ward

Series: The Arrangement Book 3

My Copy: Amazon Copy

BookWhisperer Rating:

Sex isn't love, but it feels like it--that is until Sean bolts from the room. For a moment, everything seemed fine. Avery's life didn't feel so impossible. She got the guy and the money, but then everything shifts. The line between reality and fantasy gets hazy. It's impossible to know if her feelings are genuine or just an illusion.
To make matters worse something from Sean's past surfaces. Devastated, Avery realizes that Sean isn't the guy that she thought he was. Avery's heart can't take another loss and this time, it looks like she's going to lose everything.

our thoughts finl

This dark and alluring book just took it a step further. The Arrangement are a compilation of several sort stories that offer a glimpse at the overall storyline. Avery’s attempt at the dark and troubling lifestyle has been very accepting with Sean as her partner. The more time she spends with him; she discovers that she may have found someone with just as many skeletons in the closet as her own. As the story progresses the two seem to find comfort in the other. That is until one terrible night where everything changes. This story alone as transformed the story, and I have no idea where it will go from here. With book four not out I will be waiting to see what will become of Sean and Avery. It is apparently obvious that this couple could find a way to overcome all of their demons together, but with each decision the consequences will be monumental to overcome.

Avery's life is slipping between her fingers. Everything that she worked to achieve will be gone if she doesn't take this job. The idea of being a call girl doesn't appeal to Avery, but her first client does. Sean is too difficult to resist. This might be the opportunity to fix her finances and find love. She just has to have enough guts to go through with it.

our thoughts finlAs I said in the first installment’s review The Arrangement books are very short stories that give you a brief glimpse of the storyline. Book 2 gave a bit more information, and built the storyline nicely. This is an addictive story of two very dark lives. Avery is at a dead-end; with no money and her future riding on the line she has decided to accept this promiscuous lifestyle at least long enough to promise survival. After a very blundered first attempt she takes matter into her own hands to regain her chance at her mysterious Sean. His character is still very much unknown, but there has been some light shed onto where this story could potential go. I can’t wait to start the next installment.

Savanna Tate has loved the same guy since she was 14yrs old. Now she and Tyler are in their second year of college. While Savanna is concentrating on maintaining her high grade point average and academic scholarship, Tyler is busy partying with his frat brothers and screwing around on his girlfriend behind her back.
Savanna decides they need a break, just so she can focus and maybe change his mind about his priorities. One night at a party Savanna catches Ty in the act and after a heated argument, she leaves. In fear of losing her forever, Tyler steals a car and proceeds to follow her even after he had too much to drink. He loses control of the vehicle and from the injuries of the accident he goes into a coma.
Everyone blames Savanna for Ty's accident. She loses her friends. His family disowns her. She stops being around people and spends most of her time at the hospital waiting for Ty to wake up so that they can start over and have the future she always wanted.
Then his cousin Colt comes back to town to help with the Mitchell family's farm.
The chemistry between them is electric, but is Savanna willing to let go of Ty to explore her feelings for Colt?

our thoughts finlLetting Go is a good start for the Mitchell Family series. My heart poured out for this tragic year, and it was terrible to see an entire family and community rise against Savanna. I was raged to see her character overcome her obstacles to find a happily ever after. While in the beginning I was intrigued by the highs and lows; I must admit to finding them somewhat repetitive. This was an emotional whirls wind. I think it will be a wonderful start to series.

Title: The Arrangement

Series: The Arrangement Book 1

BookWhisperer Rating:

FML is becoming Avery's motto. Just when she doesn't think things could get any worse, they do. When her car stalls out at a busy intersection and she gets out to check under the hood, a guy steals her car. Armed with a dress and a pair of Chucks, Avery runs after the thief. When a hot stranger offers to help, she can't say no. That's how Avery meets Sean Ferro, the totally sexy, totally damaged guy with more secrets than she has time for.
Avery doesn't have time for anything anymore. Her is life falling apart and it's not just the car. It's everything, and it doesn't matter how tightly she tries to hold on, there's nothing left to hold on to. With the sudden death of her parents, it's only a matter of months until Avery's shot at college is gone, and she's living in a cardboard box. Other students have their families to rely on when things get bad. Avery has no one.
But there's one option, one incredibly sexy, morally devoid, option. If Avery takes a job as a call girl, one guy could save her. One client. One time. She just has to say yes.

our thoughts finl The Arrangement is a debut for The Arrangement short story series. These are incredibly short story that just give you a brief glimpse at the story before jumping to the next book. Avery is just your average girl with a terrible past. Being that the short stories are so short it is not clear what all her past entails, but it is evident that she is completely alone. No family and very few friends all while trying to keep a ridiculously outlandish scholarship, and a job. She is finding herself rapidly nearing rock bottom when she coincidentally has an encounter with on drop dead gorgeous biker that helps her rescue her stolen car. When life becomes to much she finds herself with a very unlikely job opportunity, and after a battle of morals and integrity she find she has no where to turn. But can she live with this decision? As I said previously this was a very short story, so it just manages to get your feet wet. I can honestly say that it has captivated me, so I will be starting book two immediately. Although, until I know more it is very difficult to rate and review this small of a story. The author has written a wonderful section here that grasps you, and forces you to sympathize and reevaluate the situation personally.

Stuck in a colorless world, Tyra Masters decides to chuck her old life and starts searching for something. She doesn’t know what it is until she meets her dream man. The goateed, tattooed, muscled, gravelly voiced motorcycle man who plies her with tequila and gives her the best sex of her life. But she knows it isn’t the tequila and sex talking. He’s it. He’s who she’s been daydreaming about since she could remember.
Until he makes it clear she isn’t who he’s looking for.
Tyra slinks away from his bed, humiliated. The problem is, he’s her new boss. She just may or may not have forgotten to tell him that part.
Kane “Tack” Allen has a rule. He doesn’t employ someone he’s slept with. And he lets Tyra know that in his motorcycle man way. Tyra fights for her job and wins it using sass and a technicality. Tack challenges her that if she hits his bed one more time, she loses her job.
Tyra is determined to keep her job and keep away from Tack. But she makes a big mistake. During their head-to-heads, she lets it all hang out and shows Tack she is who he’s looking for. And Tack has had a good woman slip through his fingers, he’s not about to let that happen again.
Although Tack colors Tyra’s world with a vibrancy that’s blinding, being with him means she has to live in his Motorcycle Club world. Full on, no holds barred. And since Tack’s world, not to mention Tack, is a little scary, Tyra isn’t so sure.

It's Tack's job to convince her.

our thoughts finl Oh No! It can’t be over already! Kristen Ashley is a BookWhisperer Favorite author. Her talent for create intoxicating stories never cease to amaze me. Tyra and Tack are extraordinary character. For the duration of this series Tack has been loved. From his first encounter with Gwen in book one; readers have rooted for him to find a match. Finally Motorcycle Man offers that match, but it is nothing that I had anticipated. He was ruthless and crude from the start. Never in the past four books have I experienced this compassionless character that was in the first half of this book. As the story unfolds, so do the layers of Tack leaving me yet another incredibly wonderful man. I loved the character development that allows readers to see every action and expression to in a new light as the story progresses. On the opposite side of that coin was a very unique Tyra. After meeting three different woman in each novel this one had the biggest variation. It was difficult to predict her character, but I believe that she was perfect for Tack’s character. She is strong, dependent, and intriguing. Motorcycle Man was a bit darker than the first three installments, and Tyra was perfect for a dangerous storyline. As she grows in the personally, and within the club I loved the fellowship and power that it adds to the story. The inner working of this club is a world so unique from the remainder of the series making it easy to see an unveiling of direction for a future series. I can not wait to jump deeper in the Chaos world, and see where On The Wind will take us yet again. Kirsten Ashley is superb author. There is never enough to say about the stories and worlds that see can create. It is one that must be experienced, and readers will love every bit of her journeys. Keep them coming Ashley, we are fans for LIFE!!!!

Series: A Neighbor from Hell #2

Zoe is used to taking care of herself and has long ago accepted that if anything bad was going to happen, it was going to happen to her. So when she loses her job over something most bosses would probably be happy with and her life starts going down hill from there she doesn't expect it to get any better. She certainly didn't expect any help from the loud jerk next door, but then again she has nothing to lose so puts her trust in him and hopes for the best. What she didn't expect was the once in a lifetime opportunity that he offers her through an arrangement where they both benefit and no one is supposed to get hurt, but she should have known better because her luck has never been that good.

Like most Bradfords, Trevor has a soft spot for food, but that's about all. He leads a pretty straightforward life and likes to keep things simple and that includes his relationships. He wants the perfect woman and knows exactly what she'll be like. So when he discovers much to his horror that he's thinking about his frumpy little neighbor he decides the best way to get his head straight is by working her out of his system. He'll keep her around, but only until he finds perfection.

our thoughts finl

I loved the first Neighbor from Hell book and I certainly loved this one as well.  What I really liked about it is that the main character Zoe was not the average written character; she was kind of chubby and plain.  I feel like a lot of books are either about gorgeous  super-model female characters or just plain Janes but they have the body underneath baggy clothing.  Mathewson wrote about a normal woman and the day-to-day struggles.  Zoe has a crappy neighbor (Trevor), she has a weight issue, and just lost her job (not in that order.)

This book had hilarious moments because both main characters liked to pick on each other and because the Bradfords were a funny family.  But this book also showed an acquaintance-ship turn into a friendship, a friendship (after many hours spent together) turn into a relationship, and that relationship turned into a sweet love.  And as the reader, you take that ride with them.  You see that Trevor hangs out with Zoe because she interesting and fun but slowly he starts really seeing her in a different light that changes his whole opinion on her.  She becomes his every thought.  I love reading about whirl-wind relationships that happen in a second but I also love reading about relationships that take their time and really connect; that is what this book was about.

I am ready to start the third book in the series and I hope I love it as much as I have the first two.

While drinking cosmopolitans, Gwendolyn Kidd meets the man of her dreams. Then she takes him home. Then she wakes up alone. But her fear that she lost her dream man turns into a relationship with a mystery man when, night after night in the dead of night, he comes back for more. Hoping it will blossom into something real, she lets him.
But she doesn’t even know his name.
Gwen’s struggling with the decision to end their crazy non-relationship when her sister-from-hell, Ginger’s best friend pays a visit and warns Gwen that if she and her sister don't get smart, they'll both get d-e-a-d, dead. Gwen has no clue what’s going on but she’s used to Ginger’s antics and decides to lay the problem on her sister’s biker boyfriend's doorstep. Bad choice. She hits the Denver Underground radar with a big, loud ping.
This means Gwen’s Mystery Man, Cabe “Hawk” Delgado has to step in to keep her safe. But when Hawk gets a dose of Gwen in the daylight, he makes the decision that he finally wants real with Gwen. However when Gwen gets a dose of badass, bossy, straight-talker Hawk in the daylight, she decides she’s done.
Thus begins the head-to-head of the Commando vs. Cosmo Girl as Hawk woos Gwen in his own unique way, Gwen survives firebombs, drive-bys, kidnappings, hot pursuits by biker hotties and gorgeous police detectives and discovers the heartbreaking reason why Hawk kept her at arm’s length.
And as all this happens, Gwen finds that her sister’s troubles are serious trouble and she must decide who to keep alive: her sister-from-hell or the man of her dreams.

our thoughts finl Kirsten Ashley Does It Again!!! My very first experience with Ashley was her beloved Colorado Mountain Man series. OMG! What is with this woman and making me drool on the pages. (Or my kindle if appropriate) Every story she offers is a mangled web of action and intensity that leaves me feeling like I just survived a tornado. Although, I don't remember the past series being as emotionally charged as what I just experience here in Mystery Man. The whole concept of three men vying for one woman's affection could potentially have come off very sluttish or unrealistic, but that couldn't have been farther from the truth here. This was non stop ride, and so very fulfilling. It was truly amaze story, and I honestly struggle with what to say as to come give anything away. Gwen is just the good girl with the wrong sister. I loved her character! While she could be a bit exhausting with her over analyzing of everything, but overall I think that was the point. More importantly,  I loved everyone of the other characters as well. Ashley creates story with such complexity and depth that it is demands your undivided attention throughout. She creates characters that are strong independent leads, and leaving almost impossible to choose a favorite. I see that the future of this series will take some of those individuals, and wrap them into individual guaranteed heart stopping stories.  I can't wait to get started, and to be honest there is nothing more that I could say about this author or series other than; START IT NOW! You are missing something incredible.Name Plate Jackie

You ever have those cravings for Ruffle chips, or a chocolate bar, or even the perfect fountain soda?  Well that was my craving for a Kristen Ashley book and boy did I pick the right one to start of my obsession with her again.  Mystery Man rocked my life for the two days that I was reading it.  I loved it so much and was so wrapped up in it that I texted Jackie on Sunday and told her, “whatever you are reading now, stop it and start Mystery Man.” She heeded my words and Monday at work, we sat in the cafeteria reading.

Gwen’s life is absolutely, straight out of the world, crazy.  Drama all the way through in this book but there was never a dull moment.  And then throwing Hawk into the mix just made my heart race even faster.  He is so freakin’ hot that Jackie and I texted back and forth about how much we wanted him.  Completely the ultimate alpha male.

This book is events after events of crazy situations, hot man after hot man walking into Gwen’s life, heart-breaking moments, and unbelievably hot moments.  If you are a Kristen Ashley fan, read this book.  If you don’t know who she is, may I suggest picking this book as a starting book.  If you don’t like her, then I am sorry because she brings happiness into my world.

While filling her display case in her bakery, the bell over the door sounds and Tessa O’Hara looks up and sees the man of her dreams. Within thirty seconds he asks her out for a beer. Thirty seconds later, she says yes. But after four months of falling in love, she discovers he’s an undercoverDEA Agent investigating the possibility she’s involved in her ex-husband’s drug business
Obviously Tess decides this means it’s over.
But DEA Agent Brock Lucas disagrees. A man on a mission who’s really committed to his job, he’s spent years in the underbelly of Denver with the dregs of society. And spending four months with Tess who’s as sweet as her cupcakes, he seriously enjoyed his job. But during Tess’s interrogation, Brock learns the devastating secret Tess is carrying and he’s determined to be the man who helps her heal as well as take her back as she walks on the wild side.
As wild and sweet mix, they face challenge after challenge of family struggling with history and terminal illness. Not to mention, Tess’s ex-husband, the drug lord and Brock’s ex-wife, who has a very big playbook are scheming to tear them apart.
But Brock Lucas has wild in him and once in his past on the trail of vengeance he let that wild loose, making a mistake that he would have no idea years later will put his sweet Tess in the position to pay his penance.

our thoughts finl Completely Unexpected!!! Brock Lucas where did he come from? While I remember clearly the role this character played in Mystery Man; I never would have anticipated book two to follow his story. This was such a shocking discovery that I wondered if Ashley would be a mistake. After having finished I can say no uncertainty that this was NO MISTAKE. This was one just as wonderful as every other Ashley title I have had the pleasure of reading. Brock and Tess had a relationship that was purely intense love and attraction. Most of Kristen Ashley's novels are surrounded by a story that offers intensity, but also will have a risk and danger factor. Don't underestimate Brock and Tess have their share of trials in this book, but not one moment was the relationship hanging in the balance. This couple was a unit from the start of the relationship on. I found this to be a very variation from her typical story, and loved seeing her spread her wings with this change up. Every time I know that I have an Ashley book in waiting it is like a grueling test to my will power to finish anything else. I love this author with every fiber of my being. Her stories are powerful and mesmerizing. Her stories are the type that can ruin readers for other authors. Once you have experience her thrilling reads it will impossible to ever forget her. Thank you Kristen for another wonderful read, and I hope for many more years of following your amazing stories! Now I must go, now I must see where the future lies for Tack and Mitch..
