Taylor Caldwell can't decide if she wants to kiss her new college roommate or punch him.

On the one hand, Hunter Zaccadelli is a handsome, blue-eyed bundle of charm. On the other, he's a tattooed, guitar-playing bundle of bad boy. Maybe that's why Taylor's afraid of falling in love with him, or anyone else. She doesn't want to get burned, and even though her other roommates adore him, she wants him gone before it's too late.

Hunter himself has been burned before, but the fact that Taylor calls him out on his crap and has the sexiest laugh ever make him decide maybe love isn't a lost cause. They make a bet: if she can convince him she truly loves or hates him, he'll leave the apartment--and leave her alone. The problem is, the more time they spend together, the less she hates him, and the more she moves toward love.

But when the man who holds the key to Taylor's fear of giving up her heart resurfaces and threatens to wreck everything, she has to decide: trust Hunter with her greatest secret, or do everything in her power to win that bet and drive him away forever.

What a wonderful read! This book kept me laughing throughout every page, seriously. The absolute hatred that Taylor feels for Hunter at the beginning was just hilarious. She tries everything she can to get him to move out and leave her alone but he won’t have any of it. He pushes her until they make a bet, she either has to prove that she loves him or hates him and then he will move out. However, it is harder than Taylor thought it would be.

Taylor and Hunter’s connection together is perfect. It is amazing how well Cameron was able to write them and make you feel everything that they were feeling. At first, you hate Hunter, just as much as Taylor does and then, feelings start to grow, your emotional gears shift and a whole new world is born.

This book also touches on some pretty serious issues. It is not just a romance novel where everything is all peachy and perfect. Which to me, added a whole new level of intensity to the characters.

name plate miranda Readers have proven time and time again to love books that offer an explosive relationship. My Favorite Mistake will give us the same well loved romance that skates that fine line border of love/hate. Taylor is a very unique character with a hell of a lot of baggage. She has learned to cope quite well, but nothing prepared her for the determination of one unwanted roommate. I agree with Miranda in calling this a laugh out loud novel. I was giggling from page one, and raced this fun novel. Don’t underestimate the remainder of the story, because Taylor and Hunter story is far from endless fun but readers will love every minute of this thrilling ride.
