About the Book:
For nine years, they drift through life, unable to forget the one who holds the strings to their hearts. In an attempt to escape the pain of her past, Melanie finds herself trapped in a loveless marriage, while Daniel loses himself in a career that means nothing without Melanie by his side.
Now, when their lives intersect, neither can deny the connection they felt so long ago.
But will the power that drew them together be enough to heal the wounds from their past, and do they have the courage to overcome the insecurities and fears that threaten to keep them apart?
Pulled is a story of attraction and separation, of destiny and duty, of a love so strong it refuses to give up even when all others have.
“My heart only beat because I could still feel your love. It was the only thing I had.”
This quote was the central theme throughout this emotional rollercoaster of a book. Pulled pulls you into Mel and Daniel’s life in the first few pages.
Melanie (Mel) is struggling with her life. She has nothing to live for except a past love that has been engraved in her heart and Daniel is the same. The book flashes back to their young, vibrant love and the obstacles and miscommunication that have pulled them apart.
The present day narrates that Mel is married to an abusive man named Nicholas. She thinks she is only good enough for the relationship that this marriage offers until one day her husband strikes a business deal with an Oncologist doctor named Daniel Montgomery. Both Mel and Daniel are shocked that their paths are intertwined again and now that they have reconnected, life throws them one curve ball after another.
In the end, you will find if their love is strong enough to bring them back together once again.
I found this book pulled me in emotionally. It was an up and down rollercoaster that I never got off of until the end of the book. Between Mel and Daniel’s life, I experience happiness, sorrow, pain, anger, hope, and dread and that was all in the first chapter. It was a great book to read to show you that there is an everlasting love out there in the world, if you are just lucky enough to find it. ~BookWhisperer Reviewer MC~
