About the book:

Have you ever had shivers run down your spine for no reason or felt like someone was watching you, even though you were alone?
Whitney has.
Weeks after her dad died in a drowning accident, sixteen year old Whitney Lane is afraid she might be going crazy just like her mom.
She sees shadows moving along walls, whisperings around corners and blurs of motion from the corner of her eye. But whenever she looks, there is never anything there.
Until one day, there was.

Reviews Plate Guardian was nothing like what I had expected. Surprisingly book description very much fits the story, but prior to reading the description would have been viewed in a very different context. The main character is a young girl name Whitney. She is a very strong and admirable young girl. I was impressed by her character's dedication and drive; especially when it comes to her family. In the wake of losing her father, in tragic rescue attempt, she doesn't miss a beat; just picks up and carries the family through. Although, with her mother increasingly strange behaviors and the strange things that begin happening around her; Whitney soon discovers that there is far more to worry about than overcoming their horrible loss. As Whitney learns more and more about the things that go bump in the night it becomes clear that she is the target, and they will stop at nothing to have her. As her plan continues to unfold she will find safety in an unlikely place, proving that God's plan for her is nothing like what she had planned.
