Mead has done it yet again. Last Sacrifice was everything that I was expecting to complete this series and more. Rose's surprising charges that concluded Spirit Bound has had readers on the edge of their seats for months. This novel will pick up right where Spirit Bound left off, and not only is Rose needing to find a way to clear her name. Now, she is on a mission to find the Lisa's sibling that has been hidden for years. This mission will change what we have come to know about the Moroi world, and what the future will hold for all of our beloved characters. While this novel does not hold the traditional battle that we have come to expect in VA books; it is actioned packed and full of mystery. Readers will learn quickly that nothing can be taken for granted this time, and becareful whom you trust. While, I anxiously anticipated a happily ever after the end results were far better. Richelle Mead has been enlightening us for years with this amazing series. With the constant thrill of love, lies, and mystery this has been a hell of a ride. This is one that I am devastated to see end, but as the saying goes all good thing must come to an end. I believe that this conclusion to the VA Series was perfect. I look forward to seeing what is in store for Mead and her spin offs from this amazing journey. I have read many of the Mead series, but I adamently feel that her Vampire Academy books are the best.
