Title: Sangria Nights: Luke & Lara
Series: Sangria Nights Part 1
My Copy: Ebook provided by Author
Best friends Lara and Marissa are inseparable - even more so now that Marissa has introduced Lara to her handsome cousin Luke during a couple of glasses of Sangria. Luke & Lara hit it off immediately, but things get complicated when Lara meets Mark, Luke's equally attractive twin brother. When tragedy strikes for Marissa, it brings all of them crashing together in this first book of the Sangria Nights trilogy; a twisting tale of love, sex, friendship and family.
I really find myself liking this twisted romance. Blind dates have never been Lara or Lukes thing, but it seems fate had a hand when these two take their chance at meeting. From the start this romance just blossoms. Luke is an identical twin, and it seems natural that Lara completes their friendly threesome. They are all inseparable, and I love the bond that forms between them all. I was unfortunately very distracted by a couple things in the writing style. This author is very comfortable with key phrases that seemed to appear repeatedly throughout the story. This is a dangerous aspect of writing, because readers easily pick up on repetition. This allows appears in the basic storylines. Lara’s and Lucy’s stories are almost identical. Expectedly, they both have a fear of dentist, but once Lucy’s character seems to develop she almost seems too similar. Other than these writing obstacles I am very excited about the continuation of this series. I am anxious to see when the relationships will go.
