About the Book:

Jack and Lexi never had a typical relationship. After 2 years without speaking, she receives a phone call that changes everything. He unexpectedly asks her to convince the new girl, Bekah, that he's ready to commit. Jack is calling now after everything they had been through because there is another woman. She can't believe it. Follow Lexi in this heart wrenching drama as she relives her past relationship, or lack thereof, with Jack, and not just in her own mind, but to his fiance-to-be. Throw in Bekah's hot brother who always seems to be in the right place at the right time, a past with more secrets to unravel than you can even imagine, and you get a recipe for disaster. Find out what happens to Lexi as she travels to Atlanta to get the closure she so desperately desires from Jack, and how the bumps of life seem to keep getting in the way.

Reviews PlateWhat to say! Oh what to say! This book is a bit complicated for me. I can't quite decide if I love it or hate it. Maybe hate it is just a little too harsh, but I really questioned myself throughout this entire novel. Avoiding Commitment offers that rush of adrenaline and heart pounding romance that fans have come to love. Everything in this story is so action packed as readers unravel the past and present for Lexis and Jack. With just these two aspects I was in love with the story, but no sooner did I fall for the characters and storyline only to be slapped in the face with the reality of this situation. Lexis comes on!!! Stop putting yourself in these whorish situations. Yes you are good looking! Yes you can have any man you want! Yes Jack is delectable! All of these things do not mean that you have to continue to spread your legs to him every single time he is in touching distance. I believe in the end my issues with this story are because I cannot be an unbiased character on cheating. It is a choice. If you do not feel for a person strong enough to not cheat on them you are either one totally stuck on yourself and how to get your own jollies, or two you don' t care enough for that person to respect them. Either way it is not a person worth making a long and lasting relationship with. This story churns reader’s emotions, and forces them to reflect on their own choices and values. It is not an easy story, to say the least; characters will constantly shift leaving readers questioning their judgments. By the end of the novel it will become obvious that lies and betrayal are the key components of this story, and the lingering question will be whether we truly knew any of the characters. At this point I don't really know how I feel about reading book two, and I will have to ponder on it for a bit. After this perplexing story I may have to take a moment to process.
