About the book:
Destiny has a way of catching up. Saddled with powers she doesn’t understand, Etta Fleming’s world is turned upside-down the day she meets Cooper Everett, the man who transports her to an alternate reality. A reality she was meant to be a part of. One minute, she’s an orphan living at Dominion House for Girls, an institution for delinquent foster kids, and then finds herself attending the exclusive Dominion Hall Academy. Plucked from the only world she’s ever known, Etta now has to deal with an aunt she never knew, a boyfriend she doesn’t know, and a best friend who can’t know. PARALLEL is the first book in The Travelers Series.

I think that The Travelers Series is going to be a potentially great series to read.  To me, it is a whole new concept of books that I haven’t seen anywhere else.  Etta is living one life as an orphan but finds out that she doesn’t belong in that world. She has a life in another world that she has longed for, but she is thrown into it with memories of her past and no memories of this present world.  This is such a great concept to start a series and I like how the author wrote Etta’s personality; mature but fun.  I also enjoyed the dynamic banter between Etta and the mysterious Cooper.  I am excited to see what the second book brings.  Try this book out and watch out for the kicker in the very last line.
