I received an email from my friends at Random House Children's Books reminding me of Fallen's upcoming release next Tuesday 12/08/2009. Here some of what they had to say:
With echoes of Paradise Lost and Romeo and Juliet, FALLEN by newcomer Lauren Kate, is the intoxicating story of a love doomed to fail over and over again. Perfect for teens who love Stephenie Meyer or stories of paranormal romance, FALLEN will go on sale next week (12/8 / $17.99); perfect timing for parents looking to give their teen something fun to read over the holiday break.
The first novel in a darkly romantic four-book series about fallen angels and forbidden love, FALLEN poses the question: what if the person you were meant to be with could never be yours? Stories of paranormal romance have captured the attention of readers in a big way, and in a marketplace saturated by vampire-centric books, FALLEN stands out as part of a new trend beginning to take form. Angels are now in the headlines, as evidenced by the success of the recently published novels Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick and Angel Time by Anne Rice. Young adult readers are primed for something new and FALLEN is the answer.
See a video book trailer, read a Q&A with Lauren, and learn more about fallen at the dedicated website: www.fallenbooks.com.
Just thought I would pass along the information. To all those as anxious as myself to get my hands on this book.

This one does look interesting and I really like the cover, but I've seen a couple of mixed reviews on Fallen. Hopefully there will be more positive ones after it is released.
This is a book I've been eyeing ever since I first heard about it. The girl on the cover reminds me of Amy from Evanescence, and I adore them! I was chatting with Lauren on fiercebook the other day-she's great!
