Now for what you have to do to win this book. If you anything like me when you read a book you imagination makes up a look for the characters; I find most time I am picturing someone I have seen before. This being said I have the hardest time with Vayl. So here we go send me a picture of what you think Vayl looks like. Most of us have a online picture account so I am assuming that you will just send me a link. Although for bonus points, leave a post on your blog promoting my contest with your picture you can have five extra entries. Now, this is not as hard as it sounds. You can send me a picture of a actor, drawing, picture of a friend whatever. Just have some fun with this. Whom ever you think portrays the best Vayl. You have until 11/26/2009 Thanksgiving to sign up for the contest.

Please don't be mad at me :) , but I never really put anyone famous in Vayl's place--I don't like to do that, but a while ago I thought up my "Dream Cast" for the Jaz Parks series.
Unfortunately for some people, my "Vayl" person would be Ville Valo, and some people probably don't know who that is. He doesn't have short hair, which kind of throws off the description, but his face to me, is what I picture.

I would never be able to picture a Jaz that would match the one in the book, but I have found a perfect Cassandra. She's from the Pirates of the Caribbean who plays Calypso:

Then these pictures should give you something of a clue, Caitlin. Vayl was born in Romania in 1751 and became a vampire about 38 years later. Short, dark, curly hair. Classically handsome, broad shoulders, slim hips, with eyes that change colors with his moods. In other words, perfect!
Yes, Melanie, your Cassandra is perfect! And I'm with you, I still haven't seen quite the right Jaz. Maybe she'll be a newcomer?

I totally am imagining the sexy Phantom as Vayl; just take off his mask, unslick and curl his hair, and it's perfect. He's got a more manly face. Vayl is manly. Many of you posted men with boyish faces; that's not really how I imagine Vayl.
