Title: My Soul To Lose
Author: Rachel Vincent
Reading Level: Young Adult
Series: Soul Screamers Prequel to My Soul To Take
Bookwhisperer Rating:

Book Description:
Kaylee Cavanaugh's trip to the mall ends with a brutal panic attack and a brainscrambling shriek she can't stop. Her secret fear is exposed. It's the worst day of her life.
Until she wakes up in the psychiatric unit.
But the hospital isn't a safe place for Kaylee, and getting out won't be easy because everyone thinks she's crazy. Everyone except Lydia, who has a secret of her own...
My Review: I continually rave about the writing of Rachel Vincent, and yet again she sold the show. My Soul To Lose was quite inventive and adds more the plot for the My Soul to Save. At 87 pages, this was a very short story abou the episodes Kaylee experienced before My Soul to Take. It relives her experience at the mall that lead to her extended stay in the mental institution. I dragged through these 87 pages not because it was not a good story, but because I am so excited about My Soul to Save I struggled reading more about the past. All in all, I enjoyed this quick the jaunt through the past, but I can not wait to read the next book.
